Lunch Post: Year of the Rabbit?
This has been a bit of a crazy week, with lost lunch boxes and late nights, so here, finally, is the update for the Chinese New Year post from earlier in the week. It’s been another journey round the sun for those following the traditional Chinese lunar-solar calendar, and for those of us who enjoy every holiday we run across. At this point in the Chinese zodiacal cycle, we’re entering the Year of the Rabbit. Since it was Groundhog’s Day a few days ago, here in the US, and we are taking that little beast’s predictions so seriously, let’s look at it from another creature’s point of view. How do the rabbits think about the Year of the Rabbit?
Apparently they LOVE pogo sticks…something about the hopping, I guess. And this is the year of the living monster pogo.
When the monster pogo showed up at my house this week, at first I tried to chase it away. But then I realized that it only wanted to play, and now it is hanging out in the basement with my buddy the Boogeyman. They like cinnamon rolls.
