Yep. Ben was Gollum. Each year Ben chooses what he’s going to be for Halloween and we try our damnedest to make it happen. This year: Gollum from the Lord of the Rings. Kristin sewed a spandex unitard which I painted to look like the poor emaciated beastie. Rubber feet, chopped to size, glued together and painted. Bald cap with strands of hair and rubber ears spirit glued on (the removal is no fun). Kristin dyed and constructed the perfect loin cloth while I sewed and painted a fish and did Ben’s makeup. Voilá. Gollum. 
Seriously, I call do-overs and I want you two as my parents.
